Protecting your eyes during outdoor activities
Mowing the lawn, trimming shrubs or trees and spraying chemicals in the garden are routine activities during the summer. But did you know that these outdoor activities carry risks for the health of your eyes?
The risk of injury is high if you do not wear protective glasses, because ordinary eyeglasses and contact lenses are not designed to fully protect the eyes. To prevent these injuries in addition to protecting you against UV rays, we recommend polycarbonate sunglasses. Tinted safety goggles, which are worn over your regular glasses, are also available.
So, are you well protected when you work outside?
