Fall Trends
Like it or not, summer is coming to an end and fall is settling in. Lucky for us, that means that fall colours and warm, comfy clothes are back to help us ease into the next season in style. Get inspired by our favourite trends as you set your sights on your next frames.
Colours
This year we’re seeing traditional earth tones like orange, cream, and brown, but Pantone has also released several vibrant colours to brighten up the fall palette. These include Fruit Dove, a dapper pink, Galaxy Blue, a deep blue, and Guacamole, a warm green. There’s also been a lot of pistachio green on the runways. The Darmon frame from our exclusive Millésime collection (Colour 95) is a great example of how a dark blue hue can add a little flash of colour to any fall look.

Fabrics
Satin and lace
Satin shirts, blouses, dresses, and scarves are back in force to add some lightness and shimmer to fall fashion. There are feminine touches everywhere, with lace details on dresses, blouses, and skirts. We also saw lots of grunge chic looks in all black and a return of “Renaissance” styles featuring square collars, wide shoulders, and puffed sleeves. As for eyewear, you could be bold and opt for a butterfly frame, the epitome of femininity and flair.

Quilted
Comfort seekers will be pleased to hear that fleece and puffy jackets are back in style! There’s no shortage of pretty options that will turn heads when styled right. This trend is part of the chic athletic look and we’re also seeing it in a number of frame collections that feature visor and mirror lens sunglasses.

Metallic
Metallic fabrics can brighten up even the darkest fall day. Jazz up your outfit with a pop of metallic fabric or go for a head-to-toe glamorous metallic look. When it comes to frames, we’re seeing more and more metal in collections, especially gold and pink gold frames

Night flowers
We’re still seeing floral prints—a hallmark of spring and summer—in the new fall collections, just in darker shades. The trend is to mix prints and shapes, so you could opt for a textured or geometric frame to complete your look.

Leopard print
They were on the prowl this summer, and it seems like the big cat prints are here to stay! We’re seeing them used sparingly to accentuate a monochrome look. Animal prints also go very well with gold. As for glasses, tortoise shell patterns are perfect, and we’re seeing more and more colour options.

Artwork
Ever wanted to wear your favourite painting? Now you can, thanks to the trend of wearing prints that look like works of art, be they portraits, abstract motifs, or patterns reminiscent of watercolours. This trend carries over to frames in the form of bold, artistic styles in several collections—it’s like wearing a work of art on your face!
