If your holiday schedule is as busy as mine, you may be suffering from the “Help-I’ve-got-nothing-to-wear” syndrome, as the office, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve parties are approaching. Don’t panic, we have three, easy-to-put-together fashion looks that’ll be perfect for any festive occasion. To make it even more fun, think of it as gifts you’re giving yourself!
The masculine wardrobe could inspire some elegant choices for the office party: check out dress shirts, pants and tuxes, for example. An ideal choice for a chic, corporate look is the tuxedo jumpsuit. Just add some feminine accessories such as metallic shoes, embellished bangles or a colourful bag.
Time to celebrate one of the nicest fabrics to wear: velvet. Choose pieces with modern cuts to make this timeless classic even bolder. This season, discover rich, gem colours such as sapphire, ruby, emerald and topaz. To contrast velvet’s soft side, pair with a pair of leather thigh boots, a leopard-print pouch and black and gold accessories. Velvet clothing not your thing? You may be interested in the numerous velvet accessories available this year, including chokers and even shoes.
There’s nothing quite like glitter to add more sparkle to New Year’s celebrations. This season, we’re skipping the formal dress and going straight for the metallic, pleated skirt combined with a knit top, faux-fur collar and pale pink accents, all for a smooth start of the year.
