In honour of Women’s History Month, we’d like to introduce you to three women who are always dressed to kill—and have the glasses to match!
Iris Apfel is a straight up fashion icon! The 96-year-old legend still attends all kinds of fashion events and graces the covers of magazines. In 2005, the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York held an exhibition dedicated to her daring sense of style. The fashion world can’t get enough of Iris and her trademark oversized round glasses.
The media just loves to profile journalist, stylist, and former model Linda Rodin. After finishing her modelling career, Linda launched her own beauty product company, which was bought in 2008 by none other than industry giant Estée Lauder. She has an eye for beauty and is rarely spotted without sunglasses on. Tinted specs quickly became her signature accessory, but you might not know why—turns out she was tired of constantly having to switch from glasses to sunglasses, so she decided to save herself some trouble and combine them!
Montrealer Grece Ghanem started her career as an Instagram influencer at age 52. You might also be surprised to learn that Grece is a personal trainer and has a master’s degree in microbiology. She is living proof that you can wear a bold Gucci belt or floral suit at any age. Grece is almost always photographed wearing oversized black butterfly sunglasses that complete her stunning looks.
Basically, we all hope we’re as fashionable and classy as our new favourite Instagrammers Iris, Linda, and Grece when we’re older!
