Once again this year, the New York Vision Expo was eye-opening!
Every year, the Opto-Réseau team attends the New York Vision Expo to discover the latest technological advances in the optometry and eye-care industry. The event is an invaluable source of inspiration for us as well as an opportune moment for sharing all the new developments that await you. Here are three innovations that caught our eye and could revolutionize our visual practice.
The EnergizeMe glasses by Zeiss allow contact lens wearers to give their eyes a rest. If you wear contacts, you may not enjoy using your old glasses once you’ve removed your lenses. We understand: old glasses are often not adapted to our vision. Plus, they do nothing to relieve the fatigue of staring at a screen for extended periods of time. To help, EnergizeMe glasses are treated with BlueProtect (an anti-blue-light film) and fitted with Digital Inside technology (capable of offering the same visual clarity and definition as contacts). Letting your eyes breathe is extremely important when you wear contact lenses. EnergizeMe glasses offers them a healthy break.

We’ve already spoken about these in one of our previous articles. It’s an innovation that continues to inspire us and remains current. DriveSafe glasses offer better vision in low-lighting conditions, and are more efficient at night. If you’re someone who get nervous about driving in poor weather conditions or after dark, these glasses were made for you.

Most of us spend a large part of our day in front of a screen. Our vision, however, doesn’t adapt naturally to this almost permanent exposure. For this reason, our team was impressed by the Biofinity Energys contact lenses. Designed for our digital world, these lenses allow our eyes to adapt to blue light without damaging our vision.
