Sandro Paris: Creative Classics
Sandro Paris offers a complete ready-to-wear collection that includes everything from basic t-shirts to pumps, handbags, and eyewear.
A Family Affair
The brand was founded in 1984 by Evelyne and Didier Chétrite and Evelyne’s sister, Judith Milgrom.
The two sisters grew up in Rabat, Morocco, as members of the Moyal family. Their grandfather owned a store where he sold shirts, and their grandmother made her own clothes. The two young girls were forever marked by the colorful fabrics, simple yet elegant designs, and impeccable workmanship typical of Moroccan clothing. Evelyne’s interest in fashion grew after she moved to Paris and worked in vintage shops while studying law. She eventually dropped law altogether to pursue her passion for fashion design.

Evelyne and Judith produced the first pieces under the Sandro label, which were sold in multi-brand stores. In 1998 Judith launched her own ready-to-wear brand, Maje.
In 2004, building on the growing success of Sandro, Evelyne opened the brand’s very first shop on rue Vieille-du-Temple in the Marais district of Paris. Within three years, there were a hundred Sandro stores in France and abroad. The Chétrite’s son, Ilan, launched Sandro Man in 2008, allowing the brand to diversify.
Today Sandro is part of the SMCP group (Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot), run by the Moyal sisters and Ilan Chétrite. Even after all these years, it is still very much a family business. The brand is sold in 37 countries at over 590 points of sale.
"Understated yet complex"
The Sandro Paris style has been described as “understated yet complex.” It’s a look that’s deceptively simple and effortlessly chic, with details that make all the difference. The collection is undeniably Parisian—classic and creative, sophisticated yet accessible—with comfortable fabrics ideal for urban life. Evelyne Chétrite likes to reinterpret the basics and play with androgynous design. The collection now includes several unisex pieces, and black and white figure prominently.

Retro modern frames
The Sandro eyewear collection debuted in 2017, achieving instant success by winning a SILMO d’Or in the Fashion Trend category the same year.
The collection echoes the brand’s ready-to-wear aesthetic: deceptively simple frames with subtly complex details. These include triple micro rivet hinges, thin metal lines partially inset within the acetate, and discreet branding. The butterfly-shaped frames are decidedly on-trend, while the rounded metal models have vintage appeal.
The collection is primarily feminine, but includes some unisex frames that suit men and women alike.
The Sandro collection is available on our website and in many Opto-Réseau clinics.
